Choosing the right quickdraw for your climbing style

If you’re a gym or artificial wall climber, you may not need your own quickdraws. However, for traditional climbing, crag climbing or mountaineering, any climber needs a pack of quickdraws. This item is made of a bit of tether with carabiners at both ends. One of the carabiners attaches to the anchor point, while the climbing rope goes through the second. Quickdraws are used by the lead climber, to secure his or her ascent. They come with various sized tethers and carabiners with a solid or wire gate.
