Description

Of prime importance when ski touring, binding crampons improve your safety. Climbing skins can show their limitations on steep slopes, as well as hardpack or icy snow. Without replacing proper mountaineering crampons, binding crampons improve your grip to keep progressing on your skis. The time comes to get off the skis when encountering ice, rocks, or simply too steep of a gradient.

To prevent the crampons from rubbing against the sidewalls, it’s crucial to pick a version that’s wider than your skis’ waist. A few millimetres of clearance each side are required.

Two clicks and the Diamir Fritschi Traxion crampon is mounted on your bindings. The rotating adapter significantly reduces play between the crampon and boot, and allows to adjust how deep the crampons bite into the snow. The depth remains significant on three settings. An undeniable plus in terms of safety and comfort, and adjustable individually.

Compatible only with Vipec 12, Vipec Evo 12, and Tecton 12 bindings for a ski waist of less than 115 mm.
