Scott: Men’s and Women’s Goggles for Every Budget
In our wide selection of Scott goggles, you’ll find unisex models for every budget. If you’re on a tight budget, we offer excellent entry-level goggles like the Factor or the Unlimited II. For those seeking high-end options, we also offer models like the LCG, equipped with a quick-change lens system and available with photochromic lenses.
The Scott Ski Goggles Range
Flagship Model: LCG
While the most popular model is indeed the LCG goggles, Scott offers a wide range of high-performance ski and snowboard goggles. Some goggles feature a sliding lens change system to switch lenses according to the light conditions of the moment. These models often come with multiple lenses, and Scott encourages you to complete your gear by choosing additional lenses.
Other Top Models: Vapor, Factor, Shield, Unlimited II
Scott offers high-quality ski goggles tailored to various preferences and needs:
- Unlimited II OTG: Ideal for prescription glasses wearers, it offers a roomy frame, spherical double lens with Amplifier technology, anti-fog coating, and RAM ventilation for clear and comfortable vision.
- Shield: Iconic and rimless, these goggles feature a large cylindrical lens and triple-layer foam. The polycarbonate Optiview lens, with Amplifier and NoFog technologies, ensures clear vision and impact resistance.
- Factor: For small to medium faces, it boasts a double cylindrical TrueView lens with Amplifier technology and NoFog anti-fog coating, guaranteeing optimal comfort and protection.
- Vapor: These semi-frameless goggles with a double spherical lens enlarge the field of view. The Amplifier technology and RAM Air 2.0 ventilation system prevent fogging, while the triple-layer foam ensures softness and warmth.
Which Lens Category for My Scott Goggles?
You will be spoiled for choice with a wide range of lenses available in many colours. Choosing lenses of different colours and tints will allow you to better adapt to the ambient light.
For low light days or white-out conditions, opt for a category 1 lens that lets more light through, providing clear vision despite the conditions. These lenses are often yellow or clear, increasing your vision in challenging conditions.
In mixed weather, choose a category 2 lens that offers a good balance by filtering some light while enhancing clarity and contrast. A yellow or red lens in this category can help better read the terrain and detect obstacles on the slope.
If the sun is shining brightly, prefer a category 3 lens, grey or brown, which filters 82 to 92% of visible light, protecting your eyes from intense sunlight.
You can also opt for a photochromic lens that automatically adjusts to the surrounding light, offering maximum versatility.
Whatever tint category you choose, Scott goggles are 100% UV certified to protect your eyes in any situation. Additionally, their lenses are treated with anti-fog coatings to prevent condensation and feature ventilation systems for optimal airflow.
What About Photochromic Goggles?
Scott ski goggles equipped with photochromic lenses provide clear and comfortable vision regardless of ambient light. The lenses, known as Light Sensitive, automatically adapt to weather conditions, optimising contrast and clarity with Amplifier technology. This enhances the perception of terrain and detail.
Scott offers 3 types of photochromic lenses:
- Light Sensitive Blue Chrome (Category 2-4): VLT from 7 to 22%, ideal for sunny conditions.
- Light Sensitive Bronze Chrome (Category 1-3): VLT from 11 to 45%, ideal in all conditions.
- Light Sensitive Red Chrome (Category 2-3): VLT from 14 to 33%, ideal for most weather conditions.
A Word on Scott Amplifier Technology
The Scott Amplifier lens technology is the result of decades of research, utilising a unique visible light transmission curve to optimise the light waves most crucial for the human eye. This improves vision in all conditions by enhancing contrast and colour definition while offering incredible clarity. It allows beneficial light to pass through while blocking harmful rays, enabling you to see details invisible to the naked eye. Regardless of weather conditions, this technology ensures an amplified vision for memorable skiing or snowboarding days.
