The Petzl William is a large, pear-shaped carabiner with a screw-locking system. It's a hybrid carabiner, with the large working surface of type H carabiners, perfect for use with a Petzl Reverso-type tube belay, for a connection of several bulky elements or for half-cabestan work. It's also a type B carabiner, the shape chosen for use on belay chain, ́dégaines, free carabiners, etc. It features the Keylock system, a design that prevents unintentional hooking" of the carabiner on the equipment and thus facilitates handling.
