Salewa approach shoes combine the characteristics of hiking shoes, mountaineering boots, and climbing shoes. These shoes designed for approach walks provide the support and grip you need to reach your climbing spots, even if you have to cross rocks and steep paths. Salewa approach shoes offer comfort, lightness, and performance in the mountains. These versatile models benefit from advanced technologies such as the 3F system for stability, or Pomoca or Vibram soles for grip on all terrains. Many models are available with or without Gore-Tex membranes to meet your expectations for protection against the elements and to face all weather conditions. Hybrids between hiking shoes, mountaineering boots and climbing shoes, approach shoes are sure to satisfy the most demanding adventurers.

Salewa offers several ranges of approach shoes with models for both men and women so that everyone can find the model suited to their morphology. Discover the different collections on this page.

Wildfire and Wildfire GTX range

Comprising men's and women's models with or without a Gore-Tex membrane, the Salewa Wildfire range offers comfort and performance during your approach walks and other mountain outings. They feature Pomoca outsoles with climbing zones for optimal grip. The 3F system is combined with climbing shoe-inspired lacing to ensure a precise fit and excellent stability. The rands that wraps these models enhance their robustness and protect your feet on rough terrain.

Alt Trainer range with or without Gore-Tex membrane

In the Alt Trainer range, Salewa has equipped its models with Vibram Alpine Hiking soles offering formidable grip, even in wet conditions. Support is provided by the 3F system, combined with climbing shoe-type lacing. The suede upper is protected by a 360° rubber rand.

MTN Trainer range

In the Salewa MTN Trainer range, you will find Pomoca or Vibram outsoles, depending on the model. These versatile approach shoes will follow you on all your mountain adventures, providing maximum comfort. The MTN Trainer 2 GTX features a Gore-Tex membrane, guaranteeing waterproofness and breathability. Additionally, its OrthoLite insole enhances foot support and comfort. The MTN Trainer Lite Wmn is a women's model equipped with a stabiliser insert in the heel for better stability.
