Description

The Borneo 2 Mfs high ankle hiking boot for women from Meindl is entirely made of leather, not only the upper. The internal lining is also leather, just like the cuff, which soft leather is more comfortable for ankle support. To ensure waterproofness, regularly caring for the leather with an appropriate grease is highly recommended.  

Meant for trekking enthusiasts and long hikes on terrain without serious technical challenges, this boot is reliable and robust, while not being too heavy. It can be worn when carrying a large capacity rucksack, potentially heavy. It is also rigid enough to be used occasionally with strap-in crampons.  

The Meindl Borneo 2 Mfs benefits from the DiGAfix lacing system, which wraps the upper around the foot instep without creating any pressure point, locks the heel and offers excellent ankle support. This differentiated lacing system between the forefoot area and the ankle part of the boot allows an adjustment suited to ascents and descents. 

A groove at the Achilles tendon promotes greater freedom of movement of the ankle while ensuring side to side stability. Reinforced against rocks by a rand, protecting not only the toes, but the whole foot at 360°, this trekking boot is comfortable to wear thanks to the MFS memory foam on the malleolus.  

The Borneo 2 features a Multigriff outsole from Vibram. Additional grip to the Vibram block, on the entire surface of the sole, offers perfect grip. It is worth noting that this shoe can be resoled.
