Description

The Petzl Nomic is a benchmark axe for ice climbing. It is perfectly balanced, its Pur’Ice pick features removable weights, improving balance for better anchoring in hard ice and optimized hooking in cracks. Handling is excellent thanks to the adjustable Griprest hand rest and the ergonomic double handle. It features a minimalist hammer with a protected head allowing to hammer a piton back in.  

Thanks to the Alpen Adapt system, the Petzl Nomic is entirely modular. You can adjust the technicality of the axe by changing the head, choosing a different pick (Ice, Dry and Pur’Dry picks sold separately), switch adze and hammer, instal a loss-prevention webbing, etc.
