Description

Designed for technical mountaineering and ice climbing, the Quark ice axe from Petzl stands out for its modularity. Indeed, while it is supplied here with a pick and an Ice blade, it can be fitted with a hammer, as well as Pur'Ice, Dry or Pur'Dry blades (sold separately) to meet the specific needs of each route. It is also compatible with weights, also sold separately, which, when fitted, help to improve inertia and balance.

In this configuration offered here with the purlin, the Quark is ideal for clearing ice and setting up anchors. Its Ice blade, sharpened at the tip, ensures safe, precise anchoring on snow, ice or mixed conditions. The handle, overmolded grip and Trigrest and Griprest support wedges ensure a secure, comfortable grip. They enhance stability and protect the hands, particularly when ice climbing. Finally, the steel tip, located at the end of the hydroformed handle, guarantees solid support in pick-and-roll mode on snow-covered surfaces.
