For young skiers learning to ski, the One Way Diamond JR cross country ski pole is a great alternative. The 100% fiberglass shaft provides more comfort and forgiveness than a carbon shaft. The 1/2 agglomerated cork handle provides a comfortable and more solid grip than plastic which hardens in the cold. A good little pole to get your feet wet in cross country skiing
