What are the specifications of the Madshus Redline Carbon Skate Cold ski?
The Redline Carbon Cold returns for 2018 with an upgraded construction. Torsionally stiffer, the ski excels on compact snow. Despite its Cold name which may scare a few of you, the ski turns out to be super precise on hard and iced snow which most skis designed for cold snow can’t do. This makes it well adapted to morning conditions when the terrain is hard and the ski doesn’t hold well when skating. This character can be explained by the 3D construction incorporating a carbon-reinforced PR100X core. It makes the ski more aggressive on hard snow. Also, camber and geometry help a lot. The tips are almost flat which lengthen the contact surface and enhances stability while the camber gives a good kick and makes the ski lively underfoot. The flex feels just right as it makes balance through easy and yet delivers performance. In terms of glide, the ski performs best on negative snow (<0°C).
Who is the Madshus Redline Carbon Skate Cold ski designed for?
This new ski on our shelves is due to the enthusiasm of our testers during the Nørdic Test Tour. We thought it was a great addition to our current offering and should satisfy many skiers out there. Suited for regular skiers and even racers, the ski is incredibly stable and aggressive on compact snow and it inspires confidence straight away. Easy to skate, it is a ski you won’t regret.
