This new S7 is in line with the revival of the Atomic cross-country ski boot launched in 2019. In a category with quite a vast choice, Atomic bets on a model that is comfortable, easy to put on and sufficiently sports-oriented to follow the progress of skiers over the seasons.   

What are the characteristics of the Atomic Redster S7 cross-country ski boot?  

To progress in skating, it is useful to remember that the feet are the basis of everything, in skiing as in most sports. It is therefore important to focus above all on comfort and support in order to get off to a good start and avoid problems linked to foot pain. The Rester S7 is a shoe that is easy to put on and offers very satisfactory foot comfort without being too voluminous. In fact, the Race Fit shoe ensures remarkable closeness to the foot without constricting it. As far as support is concerned, you can count on the External 3D Heel Counter to stabilise the rear foot and provide good ski guidance. The Split collar attached directly to the 3D frame ensures the stability of the ankle and helps maintain balance when the ski is put on and during the gliding phases. The ripstop gaiter coating provides a long service life and a high-quality appearance to the boot. It closes with a central zip over which the tightness of the collar can be adjusted. The traditional lacing with flat cords allows the knot to remain in place during use, but be careful not to tighten it too much as the foot swells with the influx of blood which increases with effort. The Prolink insole is thin enough to provide a good feeling and an efficient energy transfer when pushing. It is compatible with the NNN, Turnamic and Prolink binding standards. A very surprising shoe in terms of Comfort and support at an affordable price.

It is a model that is perfectly suitable for starting regular skating practice. The S7 offers enough tolerance to forgive technical faults without losing the precision of the boot. It enables a very satisfactory ski guidance and favours with the thin and flat collar strap a good ankle flexion when putting the ski down.
