The X-IUM Carbon Premium Skate is the boot that sees the least amount of change in Rosignol’s range and there is a good reason for this, it is already very efficient technically and offers amazing support and stability characteristics at a more affordable price than the models now used on the World Cup.

What are the characteristics of the Rossignol X-IUM Carbon Premium Skate Nordic ski boot?

The ranges are getting bigger and bigger with technical evolutions and this X-IUM Premium Skate is now the second boot in the line. But one should not forget that the base design for this model has proved its worth on the World Cup before the apparition of a superior model. The difference with the Plus version is the manufacturing of the outsole and reinforcements, instead of being moulded together, the two parts are separate, making them cheaper to make than as a single piece. However, the performances are here, and the energy transfer is amazing. This boot is a true alternative to more expensive models as its performance level is very similar. The two part chassis and carbon composite collar provide control, precision and support while ensuring incredible dynamism at the end of pushes. Important detail, unlike most brands that make their boot ultra-exclusive, Rossignol has opted for a medium last, wider at the forefoot. This is part of the explanation for its success the past seasons, besides its very interesting price point. The gaiter is closed by a side lace flap and long Velcro strap at the outside ankle bone. The Speedlace Lock quick lacing system ensures a precise and comfortable adjustment of the liner. A high-quality boot offering sensations and technical efficiency.
