This is undoubtedly the most anticipated model in recent years, a shoe totally inspired by the S/Lab model, less expensive and technically more accessible! This S/Race represents the future of skating boots at Salomon with a totally revised construction, lighter and more efficient.   

What are the characteristics of the Salomon S/Race Carbon Skate Prolink cross-country ski boot?   

This new boot has everything to become one of the biggest references on the market. Its new construction combines frame and Carbon Loaded collar, a new manufacturing process of compressed carbon that increases the capacity of the boot by 20% in flexion and rigidity. In addition to this, the ageing Energyzer collar is removed and replaced by a new anatomical carbon collar that is significantly lighter and stiffer. Developed in collaboration with some of the world's best athletes, this collar offers exemplary support and stands in clear contrast to what the French brand has been doing in this type of range until now. A fresh wind is blowing over Salomon's range of performance shoes, and from a technical point of view, the improvement was worth the wait. The Sensifit Race shoe coupled with the Carbon Loaded collar provides ultra-precise foot wrap and better sensations whether in ankle flexion or overall Comfort. The very thin Prolink outsole ensures very precise support transfers and optimises dynamism at the end of the lateral thrust. The shoe is easy to adjust thanks to the Quicklace quick lacing system, which is very practical and precise. Equipped with a highly waterproof ClimaSalomon gaiter, it keeps feet dry without the use of environmentally harmful PVC. A long-awaited shoe that doesn't disappoint! The insole is a little more generous and comfortable than on the S/Lab model, making it more accessible to many skiers. This new S/Race is a sure hit!
