The K2 selection covers several approaches to skiing. BFC favours a roomy fit, Cortex is more about precision, Mindbender is aimed at freeride and ski touring, while Anthem and Recon cover piste and all-mountain skiing. Method and Revolve round off the range for freeski and freestyle.
K2 BFC: a generous fit
The K2 BFC range is aimed at skiers looking for more space in the shell. It covers several flex ratings, from accessible models to stiffer versions. Depending on the models available, closure is provided by buckles or a BOA system. Flex and the closure system therefore need to be compared within the range.
K2 Cortex: precision and close-fitting support
K2 Cortex models sit in a more precise and firmer category, with a fit that is closer to the foot than that of the BFC. The Glisshop selection includes models fitted with BOA and Zonal BOA, depending on the reference. The range is designed for sporty piste skiing, with also some models more geared towards all-mountain or freeride use. The flex rating helps differentiate between the various versions.
K2 Mindbender: freeride and ski touring
The K2 Mindbender range is aimed at skiers who split their season between the resort, off-piste and, depending on the model, uphill sections. K2 positions this family between resort and backcountry. Touring-related features are, however, not the same on every model: walk mode, inserts and binding compatibility must all be checked model by model.
K2 Anthem: an all-mountain range for women
The K2 Anthem range is a women’s collection, from accessible models through to stiffer versions for skiers seeking greater support and precision. The current selection includes BOA and Zonal BOA versions. Flex and shell volume make it possible to distinguish between models that are not aimed at the same level of performance.
K2 Recon: piste and all-mountain
The Recon range occupies an important place in the current line-up. It brings together piste- and all-mountain-oriented boots, with several flex ratings and different BOA systems. The softer versions seek a compromise between forgiveness and precision, while the stiffer models enhance support and power transfer.
K2 Method and Revolve: the freeski offering in the FL3X collection
K2 groups Method and Revolve within its FL3X universe, geared towards freestyle and freeski. The Method models offer a roomier fit, while the Revolve versions favour a closer, more foot-hugging feel. Both families are available in several flex ratings to cover different levels of commitment in the park and in freeskiing.

Buckles, BOA or Zonal BOA: the systems available
The K2 range includes boots with traditional buckles and models fitted with BOA. Buckles allow several closure points to be adjusted separately. On BOA models, a dial tensions a cable to progressively secure the shell around the foot. Zonal BOA uses two separate adjustment zones when the model is genuinely equipped with it. The closure system does not replace the need for the correct volume: a shell that does not suit the shape of the foot remains a poor choice, whatever the fastening mechanism.
Flex and shell volume: refining your K2 selection
Two K2 boots in the same range may be aimed at very different skiers. Flex indicates stiffness: a moderate value makes it easier to engage the ski, while a higher flex provides greater support. Shell volume mainly describes the amount of space around the forefoot, but heel hold and instep height also matter.
