The Burton Cartographer snowboard is designed for freeride, featuring a directional shape characterised by a wide and stiff front nose, a slightly tapered tail, and a medium overall flex. It boasts a high-quality construction with a Super Fly 800 G wood core that combines two types of wood, one hard and one soft, to reduce the board's overall weight while maintaining excellent performance. The Dualzone EGD technology aligns the wood fibres at 90° along the edges, as opposed to the longitudinal fibres of the rest of the board, enhancing responsiveness and edge hold.
What is the Burton Cartographer snowboard made for?
The Cartographer is a snowboard designed for riding fast and carving turns thanks to its directional shape. The front nose is wide and stiff, and the flex is medium throughout the rest of the board for easier handling and to be easier on the legs. The tail is slightly narrower than the nose, and the bindings are set back by 25 mm. This offers fun turn initiation on all types of terrain, precision and stability at high speeds, as well as good float in powder. The traditional camber ensures excellent grip and good dynamism for carving. This allows you to vary the terrain and snow types, from carving on groomers to tight turns between trees in the side country, or even drawing beautiful lines in vast backcountry expanses.
Who is the Burton Cartographer snowboard aimed at?
It is accessible from intermediate to advanced levels. The Cartographer will delight snowboarders looking to ride groomers and progress in freeride on various terrains with a high-performance yet friendly board.
