The Burton Family Tree Hometown Hero is a high-performance freeride snowboard designed to dominate all terrain. With its directional design and camber + rocker profile, this board offers exceptional buoyancy in powder while retaining fearsome precision on piste.

What's in it for the Burton Family Tree Hometown Hero snowboard?

The Burton Family Tree Hometown Hero is a versatile freeride-oriented snowboard featuring premium construction with Infinite Ride™ technology that maximizes pop and sturdiness. Its profile combining camber between the feet and rocker in the tip gives it excellent grip on hard snow while facilitating flotation in powder. The directional shape with a wider nose allows for increased maneuverability and natural lift-off, while the 45° carbon fiber reinforcements offer a more aggressive ride without compromising responsiveness.

Who is the Burton Family Tree Hometown Hero snowboard for?

This snowboard is aimed at advanced to expert riders who are looking for a high-performance, reliable board to engage physically on all types of terrain. Ideal for snowboarders mastering all techniques and wishing to explore snow-covered forest massifs with power and precision.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
