Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Mini Grom from Burton is the first snowboard for small riders. To do so, it has to be particularly easy to handle, that is why Burton made it soft and forgiving. Indeed, its Fly Core wood core reinforced by glass fibre and offers an easy flex, while providing lightness and strength. When looking at the board from the side, you can see generous rockers at the tips, they suppress the excess of grip while improving the glide on soft snow and spring slush, while the middle of the board features flat camber, that offers some confidence inspiring grip and prevents you from catching an edge. Finally, the twin-tip shape, symmetrical from the nose to the tail with a centred stance, allows to ride both ways indifferently! With this small and easy model, your little rider in the making will feel comfortable in no time and have fun!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
