Description

The Burton Riglet is a snowboard specially designed for the initiation of the little ones. Very flexible and as forgiving as possible, it will be ideal to learn the basics with or without bindings, on the living-room carpet or directly at the bottom of the green slopes!

What's on the agenda for the Burton Riglet snowboard?

The Burton Riglet is a small and simple board that doesn't necessarily require bindings. Indeed, it is fitted with two non-slip pads that will help your kid to improve its balance and have fun in the snow. This board doesn't have edges for a max of forgiveness, it was designed to help your kid to find stability, go straight on, and start steering. The perfect way to start slow and steady without frightening himself.

Who is the Burton Riglet snowboard for?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
