Product description — Aeronaut

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Capita Aeronaut is a high-performance snowboard, ideal for passionate riders who love groomers and backcountry riding, already possessing solid technical skills. With its directional shape and traditional camber, this versatile board excels both in powerful turns on groomed runs and when charging through powder lines. It features a Panda Core™ reinforced with Bamboo Power Rods, combining lightness, strength and lively response. This model also comes in Wide versions specifically designed for larger boot sizes (above UK 9.5).

What is the Capita Aeronaut snowboard made for?

The Capita Aeronaut is engineered to deliver a smooth yet powerful ride in all-mountain freeride conditions without compromising performance on hardpack snow. Its directional shape enhances control during descents and boosts efficiency in deep snow, while the traditional camber ensures strong edge hold and excellent responsiveness. Thanks to its advanced core blending lightweight wood with bamboo reinforcements, this board offers stability, durability and dynamic pop—making it an impressively effective choice whether carving or slashing through powder.

Who is the Capita Aeronaut snowboard aimed at?

The Aeronaut is aimed at experienced snowboarders—from confident intermediates to experts—seeking an all-purpose weapon within the freeride universe. It's perfectly suited to those wanting to link powerful turns on groomers while still enjoying natural jumps or committed lines in the backcountry. A true Swiss Army knife for riding fast and clean across any terrain.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
