Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Capita Super D.O.A. is the supercharged version of the D.O.A., one of the brand’s best-selling snowboards: same proven shape, upgraded construction for greater lightness and responsiveness. A versatile board designed for riders who want a single board capable of handling everything on the mountain.

What is the Capita Super D.O.A. snowboard all about?

The Super D.O.A. is an all-mountain snowboard with a freestyle focus: it’s built to ride the entire resort, link runs, and play on natural terrain or features whenever the mood strikes. Its shape is a True Twin, meaning the board is perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail, allowing you to ride just as well in regular as in switch without any difference in handling. The camber profile is what Capita calls the Alpine V1 Profile: traditional camber underfoot for solid grip on groomed snow and good pop, combined with rocker at the tips for added forgiveness and to prevent the board from catching in turns. Capita also incorporates Magic Bean Resin into the construction—a bio-based resin made from soybean oil that reduces emissions during manufacturing.

Who is the Capita Super D.O.A. snowboard designed for?

The Super D.O.A. is designed for intermediate to advanced riders who want a single board to explore the entire resort without specializing.

A good choice if you want a board you can ride every day of the season, regardless of conditions.

Not recommended if you’re looking for a board dedicated to big kickers or intense jibbing.

What are the main features of the Capita Super D.O.A. snowboard?

Versatility

Grip

Stability

Does the Super D.O.A. really perform the same way in switch?

Yes: the True Twin design means the board is symmetrical, with the same tip length and the same flex on both sides. You don’t need to adjust anything to ride switch.

How stiff is the Super D.O.A.?

The Super D.O.A. has moderate flex: the board is neither too soft nor too stiff, which makes it maneuverable for small tricks and precise when carving at higher speeds.

What does the HyperDrive ADV XT base offer for everyday use?

The HyperDrive ADV XT base is made of high-density polyethylene, formulated to glide fast and absorb wax effectively. In practical terms, it stays fast longer between maintenance sessions and absorbs wax well after a refresh.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
