Designed in collaboration with rider Jess Kimura, the Capita The Equalizer snowboard blends freestyle creativity with the versatile performance needed to ride both powder and groomers.

What is the Capita The Equalizer snowboard made for?

Featuring a directional shape, this model combines an elongated, tapered nose with a more traditional tail. Its pronounced rocker at the front and slight setback stance enhance float while ensuring excellent agility. Thanks to its traditional camber profile, it also delivers reliable edge hold on groomed or hard snow, along with plenty of pop for strong take-offs and smooth landings. To tackle demanding terrain, its Superlight core reinforced with natural fibres (linen and aramid) efficiently absorbs vibrations without sacrificing energy or the wood’s natural flex. As a result, this board offers comfort and control whether you’re carving down groomers or exploring backcountry lines—while remaining lively enough to fully express yourself in the terrain park.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
