Description

The Gnu Ladies Choice is a versatile freestyle snowboard designed for riding all over the resort, with a playful feel, great pop, and reliable grip on hard snow.

What is the Gnu Ladies Choice snowboard designed for?

The Ladies Choice transitions naturally between the slopes, off-piste, and the snowpark thanks to its directional twin shape, which maintains agility in freestyle while providing a bit more support during directional riding. Its W Rocker profile combines rocker between the feet, camber underfoot, and rocker at the nose and tail to blend forgiveness, lift, and rebound. Magne-Traction improves grip on hard snow, while the Aspen/Paulownia core and Tri-Ax/Bi-Ax fibers provide pop without making the board too physically demanding.

Who is the Gnu Ladies Choice snowboard designed for?

This board is designed for intermediate to advanced female riders who want a versatile freestyle board capable of transitioning from carving to jumps, switch riding, and variable snow conditions, with a good balance between responsiveness and forgiveness.

Versatility

Is the Gnu Ladies Choice suitable for the snowpark?

Yes. Its twin-directional shape, good pop, and maneuverability make it comfortable on jumps, features, and freestyle tricks, with enough forgiveness to vary your weight distribution.

Does the Gnu Ladies Choice grip well on hard snow?

Yes. Magne-Traction adds contact points along the edges to enhance grip on compact or uneven snow.

Is the Gnu Ladies Choice easy to ride switch?

Yes. Its directional twin shape maintains good ease in switch, although the slight setback and differentiated flex also give it effective performance when riding directionally.

Is the Gnu Ladies Choice suitable for powder?

It handles light powder and on-piste conditions well thanks to its rocker zones, but it’s not a dedicated freeride board for deep snow.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
