Description

Made by Mervin in its Seattle plant, the Gnu Money snowboard benefits from the American brand’s environmental stance. Indeed, the company is impressive in terms of sustainability: green electrical power, no toxic solvents, use of bioplastics and FSC certified wood, etc. While the manufacturing processes are high-quality, so are the riding sensations! This directional twin shape board provides gliding comfort in powder and helps you to enter easily in turns thanks to the setback stance. The symmetrical shape offers the possibility to ride switch for some freestyle tricks, and the rather soft flex allows to land with ease. The W camber, which consists of a camber profile under the feet and rocker in the centre of the board, provides a playful trait to this board without losing any pop or responsiveness. The Money is meant for a versatile freestyle program, you will be able to enjoy jibbing in the park before hitting some powder on the sides of groomers.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
