Product description — Turbo Gremlin

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Gnu Turbo Gremlin is a freeride snowboard designed to go fast, carve through powder, and tackle the resort’s natural lines. Gnu has designed it to be a high-performance board, intended for snowboarders who want a precise and responsive board in less-traveled snow. Its bold character makes it a true riding tool, not a compromise board.

What is the Gnu Turbo Gremlin snowboard designed for?

The Gnu Turbo Gremlin is built for fast carving, holding a line on challenging terrain, and maintaining strong float in powder. It offers solid grip on packed snow, and its stability lets you really pick up the pace. Its directional shape—narrower than that of the classic Gremlin—accelerates edge-to-edge transitions while maintaining a nose that promotes float. Its classic camber provides precision and edge grip, but requires a committed riding style.

Who is the Gnu Turbo Gremlin snowboard designed for?

The Gnu Turbo Gremlin is designed for advanced to expert snowboarders looking for a demanding board that makes no compromises on handling.

  • Riders who tackle off-piste terrain and natural lines with commitment
  • Riders who want flawless grip on hard, cold snow
  • The snowboarder who prefers freeriding and wide-open spaces to park features

Best suited if you’re comfortable carving and are looking for a board that’s stable at high speeds in all snow conditions.

Avoid this if you’re a beginner or if your main playground is the snowpark.

Does the Gnu Turbo Gremlin hold up on icy snow?

Yes, Magne-Traction significantly improves edge grip on hard or uneven snow.

How do you maintain the base of the Gnu Turbo Gremlin?

Its Sintered Knife Cut base must be waxed regularly to maintain its speed and shock absorption.

What’s the difference between the Gnu Turbo Gremlin and the Gnu Gremlin?

The Turbo Gremlin is stiffer, faster from edge to edge, and more stable at higher speeds, while the classic Gremlin remains easier to handle for everyday use.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
