Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Jones Frontier 2.0 is a versatile freeride snowboarddesigned to handle runs, off-piste terrain, and powder with good float and reliable grip on hard snow.

What is the Jones Frontier 2.0 snowboard designed for?

The Frontier 2.0 is geared toward all-mountain freeriding, with a directional shape and a longer nose that make it easier to ride in deep snow. Its Directional Camber/Rocker profile combines camber underfoot for grip and pop with rocker at the tip to improve float and turn initiation. Traction Tech adds contact points along the edges to enhance grip on hard snow, while the Sintered 8000 base provides efficient and durable glide. The Biax fiber and wood core maintain an accessible flex while ensuring responsive handling under pressure.

Who is the Jones Frontier 2.0 snowboard designed for?

This board is suitable for intermediate to advanced riders who want a directional board capable of venturing off-piste without losing grip on groomed snow. It requires a solid technical foundation, but remains maneuverable enough to help you progress in freeriding and build confidence in variable snow conditions.

What are the main features of the Jones Frontier 2.0 snowboard?

Lift

Grip

Versatility

Is the Jones Frontier 2.0 suitable for powder?

Yes. Its directional shape, elongated nose, and rocker profile at the tip promote lift and stability in deep snow.

Does the Frontier 2.0 perform well on hard snow?

Yes. The camber underfoot provides grip, and Traction Tech increases the number of contact points between the edges and the snow.

Can the Jones Frontier 2.0 be used on the groomed slopes?

Yes. It maintains good edge hold and responsiveness on the groomed slopes, with a ride feel more geared toward freeride than freestyle.

Is the Frontier 2.0 suitable for freestyle?

It can handle a few natural jumps or small transitions, but its directional shape and freeride design make it less suitable for jibbing and technical park riding.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
