The Jones Frontier 2.0 is a versatile freeride snowboarddesigned to handle runs, off-piste terrain, and powder with good float and reliable grip on hard snow.

What is the Jones Frontier 2.0 snowboard designed for?

The Frontier 2.0 is geared toward all-mountain freeriding, with a directional shape and a longer nose that make it easier to ride in deep snow. Its Directional Camber/Rocker profile combines camber underfoot for grip and pop with rocker at the tip to improve float and turn initiation. Traction Tech adds contact points along the edges to enhance grip on hard snow, while the Sintered 8000 base provides efficient and durable glide. The Biax fiber and wood core maintain an accessible flex while ensuring responsive handling under pressure.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
