Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Jones Prodigy has little to envy when compared to adult snowboards. Its twin directional shape, as well as its FSC-certified and fiberglass-reinforced wood core, offers great performance throughout the resort. Its tonic flex, which is accessible for lighter riders, allows you to give it your all and progress.

What is the program of the Jones Prodigy snowboard?

The Prodigy is a very well-balanced board, capable of evolving on all types of snow, offering responsiveness and playability. The slightly setback position of the feet makes it easier to place the board in curves and provides a natural lift in the snow, which is further improved by the rocker zones on the front and back of the board. On hard snow, the classic camber and Traction Tech 1.0 technology provide good grip for beautiful cut turns. So, you can switch between piste and powder without problems, while the equal width of the nose and tail allows you to switch and set tricks.

Who is the Jones Prodigy snowboard for?

In contrast to many children's snowboards made for beginners, this model is designed for young snowboarders with an already confirmed base. If your child has no trouble following the big kids and doesn't hesitate to draw his own lines all over the resort, the Jones Prodigy is for him!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
