Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

With the Jones Prodigy young riders can enjoy a snowboard with a construction on the level of adult boards. It has a very versatile directional twin shape, an FSC certified wood core reinforced by glass fibre offering a responsive flex yet suitable for children, allowing them to progress while having fun.

What is the Jones Prodigy snowboard made for?

The Prodigy ensures a good balance between responsiveness and playfulness, allowing to ride in every condition with a balanced board. The inserts are positioned slightly toward the back, facilitating turn initiations and allowing the board to naturally lift in powder, the rockers at the nose and tail also helping in fresh snow. The traditional camber and Traction Tech 1.0 technology guarantee grip on hardpack, enabling young snowboarders to carve with confidence. The twin shape from nose to tail opens up freestyle trick options, facilitating switch riding. The Prodigy allows to venture on any terrain, with the same level of preformance on groomed snow as on powder.

Who is the Jones Prodigy snowboard aimed at?

The Jones Prodigy stands out from most children's snowboard as it is meant for young riders who already have good skills. It allows young rippers to enjoy a quality, responsive and evolutive board to keep progressing in the entire ski area while having a blast.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
