Product description — Skate Banana

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Lib Tech Skate Banana is an iconic snowboard that has revolutionised the industry with its Banana profile. Featuring a sleek black design and the unmistakable yellow banana at its centre, this board delivers outstanding versatility for riders looking to progress with a true toy underfoot. Equipped with Magne-Traction technology for optimal edge hold, it excels in both freestyle and all-mountain riding.

What is the Lib Tech Skate Banana snowboard made for?

The Skate Banana is designed for all-mountain freestyle riding thanks to its W Rocker (Original Banana) profile, which combines rocker between the feet (reverse camber zone) and camber extending out towards the tips. This construction offers the best of both worlds: forgiveness and performance. Its Aspen/Paulownia core reinforced with Tri-Ax fibreglass provides excellent pop, while Magne-Traction technology featuring seven contact points along the edges ensures exceptional grip even on hard-packed snow.

Who is the Lib Tech Skate Banana snowboard aimed at?

This board is recommended for beginner to intermediate riders who want to progress quickly on a legendary board. Its forgiving construction makes technical mistakes less punishing while still offering enough responsiveness to support rider development across any terrain type. It’s truly playful—always fun to take out no matter the conditions of the day.

La tabla bien pero el transportista no me dejaba abrir el paquete sin haber firmado antes , que hubiera pasado si hubiera venido defectuosa?

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
