Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Escape is inspired by the best freeride snowboards from Nidecker, but with a slightly less rigid construction that makes the board more accessible both physically and technically. The Escape has a qualitative construction, with a Master Core made of several wood densities, a Premium Sandwich Construction using carbon and Kevlar and a Sintered N-7000 sole that offers an excellent glide.

What is the program of the Nidecker Escape snowboard?

The Escape has a well-balanced flex, which provides stability at high speed and bounce in the turns, while remaining comfortable to ride all day long. Its binding inserts are well reclined, which positions the snowboarder on the rear to engage the curves more easily, but also to easily exit from the powder. The slightly thinner tail than the nose also provides more manoeuvrability and efficiency in the snow. Finally, the classic camber is well marked and provides excellent grip on hard snow, making the Escape a great board for carving on well groomed trails. So, you can have fun and progress both on and off-piste!

Who is the Nidecker Escape snowboard for?

Accessible from the intermediate level at the risk of being a little technical to ride, this model is perfect for an experienced snowboarder who loves carving and freeride and are looking for a model to improve.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
