The Nidecker Escape snowboard was designed with freeride enthusiasts in mind, thanks to its directional shape that includes a slimmed-down tail and recessed-positioned bindings, optimizing powder riding. This versatile board also stands out on the piste, where its traditional camber offers excellent responsiveness.

What's in it for the Nidecker Escape snowboard?

The Escape features a subtle directional shape, with a tail slightly narrowed in relation to the nose and binding inserts set back 30 mm. This configuration ensures ease of use in deep snow, while retaining great adaptability. On piste, the classic camber guarantees impeccable edge hold for precise curves. The wider nose and rearward-facing center of gravity provide efficient flotation in powder. Soft tips add a playful dimension, facilitating transitions and allowing you to explore the switch with confidence. Its Master Wood Core lends dynamism and beautiful solidity, ensuring a fluid and pleasurable riding experience.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
