The Nidecker Megalight is a top-notch snowboard with a state-of-the-art construction. It's a board with an exceptional power-to-weight ratio made for epic Freeride sessions.

What's on the agenda for the Nidecker Megalight ski?

This is the most powerful board of the Nidecker collection, the Megalight is still pretty light however thanks to its Light Core and Freeflex 2.0 technology. You'll get all the stability and support you need for high-speed rides, especially with the Absorbnid layer softening vibrations on the top part of board. The classic camber in the center for its part gives it a very good handling on hardpack and a great rebound out of turns. Finally, the setback stance and rocker zones allow for faster turn entries and provides an excellent buoyancy on powder.

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.

Is my board ready-to-use ?

The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

How to maintain your equipment ?

Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
