Product description — Sensor Mons

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Nidecker Sensor Mons is a freestyle snowboard that’s more responsive than the classic Sensor, designed to let you push harder in the park and maintain greater stability as the pace picks up.

What is the Nidecker Sensor Mons snowboard designed for?

It’s designed for freestyle riding throughout the resort, with a stiffer and more responsive feel than the standard Sensor model. Its perfectly symmetrical true twin shape and centered inserts provide the same feel whether riding regular or switch, making spins and landings easier in both directions. The traditional camber profile provides strong edge grip and optimal pop. The Pop Carbon reinforcements provide more kick underfoot and enhance responsiveness on kickers and in transitions. The Light Core and reinforced sandwich construction provide stability as speed increases on the slopes or on more challenging park lines.

Who is the Nidecker Sensor Mons snowboard designed for?

It’s designed for intermediate to advanced riders who want a freestyle board capable of maintaining support during turns and better absorbing the impact of jumps, without being too physically demanding.

What are the main features of the Nidecker Sensor Mons snowboard?

Pop

Stability

Responsiveness

Is the Sensor Mons suitable for the snowpark?

Yes. The true twin shape, pronounced pop, and superior stiffness make it well-suited for kickers, spins, and aggressive landings.

Does the Sensor Mons perform well on hardpack?

Yes. The camber improves grip and provides greater precision on compact snow.

Can you ride the Sensor Mons in powder?

Yes, occasionally. The rockers make it easier to float, but it’s primarily designed for versatile freestyle riding.

What’s the difference between the Sensor Mons and the classic Sensor?

The Sensor Mons has more camber, greater stiffness, and a more responsive feel underfoot.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
