Product description — Venus

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Venus women's snowboard is an all-mountain freeride board developed by Nidecker. It lets you switch between groomed runs, off-piste terrain, and deep snow with a smooth and confident ride.

What is the Nidecker Venus snowboard designed for?

It lets you ride all over the mountain, making it easy to head off the groomed runs when conditions get exciting. Its directional shape, combined with slightly rear-set inserts, helps keep the nose above the powder and provides more stability in turns. The camber underfoot provides grip and pop on packed snow, while the rockers at the tip make pivoting easier and allow for a more gradual turn initiation. The Premium Sandwich construction with Kevlar and carbon reinforcements enhances responsiveness and dampens vibrations when the snow becomes rutted or uneven.

Who is the Nidecker Venus snowboard designed for?

It’s designed for intermediate to advanced female riders looking for a board that performs well on the groomed slopes while remaining forgiving enough to explore freeride terrain and ride a variety of conditions with ease.

What are the main features of the Nidecker Venus snowboard?

Float

Grip

Versatility

Is the Nidecker Venus suitable for powder?

Yes. Its directional shape and rear-set inserts improve lift and help the nose float better in deep snow.

Can you ride the Venus on hard-packed slopes?

Yes. The camber underfoot provides reliable grip and maintains responsiveness on firm snow.

Can you do a bit of freestyle on the Venus?

Yes. It handles a few switch runs and lets you play with the terrain, even though it’s primarily designed for freeride.

What skill level is required to ride the Nidecker Venus?

A minimum intermediate skill level is recommended to fully enjoy its stability and all-mountain freeride performance.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
