Description

The Blackwood is a typical freestyle board thanks to its twin-tip shape, its classic camber and its well-balanced flex between performance and playability. However, it is not limited to kickers and rails.

What is the program of the Verdad Blackwood snowboard?

The Blackwood is very pleasant to ride and evolves thanks to its well-balanced flex. It offers great ollie pop, bounce in turns and stability when accelerating, however, it remains comfortable to ride and allows you to play with the spatula for stylish press and flat tricks. The classic camber provides a good grip when linking turns on the tracks or stability when launching a small rotation on a kicker. Whether you're riding in the park, practicing side hits or cruising the slopes, the Blackwood is fun and challenging.

Who is the Verdad Blackwood snowboard program for?

This model is intended for snowboarders who ride mainly on piste, small slopes and snow parks, with a freestyle approach to snowboarding. It enables snowboarders to have fun on their favourite terrain while maintaining a good compromise between performance and playability.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
