Ridden by pro snowboarders such as Helen Schettini and Briony May Johnson, the Hel YES is a high-performance model that has been awarded several times in a row by the Transworld Snowboarding magazine, which honours the best boards on the market.

What is the program of the Hel YES snowboard?

The Hel Yes offers great skills in a wide variety of conditions thanks to the versatility of its shape. It is a directional twin, which means that it is symmetrical from nose to tail but the position of the feet is slightly misaligned. This compromise allows the rider to maintain good freestyle skills while improving the ride and versatility of the board. The classic camber and UnderBite sidecut provides good grip on hard snow, while the small rockers with spatulas further improve the board's ability to handle powder. Finally, the construction mixes poplar, paulownia, bamboo and fiberglass for a light but toned board with an ollie pop, bounce in turns and stability. This is the perfect snowboard to tackle descents in the resort or freeride and it doesn't say no to a few rotations and other freestyle tricks.

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.

Is my board ready-to-use ?

The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

How to maintain your equipment ?

Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
