Description

The Bataleon Thunderstorm is a high-end directional snowboard that excels on both piste and powder. Featuring Triple Base Technology (3BT) and carbon reinforcements, this board offers the perfect balance of performance and accessibility for riders who want to devour everything on the mountain.

What's in it for the Bataleon Thunderstorm snowboard?

The Thunderstorm is a versatile freestyle-oriented board that benefits from 3BT technology with SideKick to ease edge transitions and provide more forgiveness. Its construction incorporates Carbon Stringers that give it exceptional responsiveness while absorbing vibrations, while its high-density Ultra Glide S sole is perfectly impact-resistant. This technological combination makes it a formidable weapon for carving on piste and floating in powder, without sacrificing park performance.

Who is the Bataleon Thunderstorm snowboard for?

We recommend this board to intermediate to advanced level riders who have already mastered the technical basics and are looking for a snowboard capable of accompanying them to the top level. It will be perfect for regular snowboarders who want to explore all terrains with a single board that performs well yet is sufficiently forgiving.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
