Product description — Birds Of A Feather
Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.
The Capita Birds Of A Feather is the women’s version of the D.O.A., one of the most copied boards on the market. Capita has taken the same base and reworked it with dimensions and flex patterns designed specifically for female snowboarders. A resort board built to ride the entire mountain without ever feeling restricted.
What is the Capita Birds Of A Feather snowboard designed for?
The Birds Of A Feather is an all-mountain board with a freestyle bent: groomed runs, the park, and off-piste areas are all part of its playground. Its perfectly symmetrical True Twin shape means the board performs identically in both regular and switch, which significantly expands your options. The Resort V1 profile with Flat Kick Technology combines camber underfoot—for solid grip and pop on takeoff—with rocker at the tips, for more forgiveness on landing and easier float in powder. Capita manufactures its boards at its factory in Austria, which is certified to reduce its environmental impact and production emissions.
Who is the Capita Birds Of A Feather snowboard designed for?
The Birds Of A Feather is designed for intermediate to advanced female snowboarders looking for a single board for the entire season, without compromising on versatility or performance.
- Riders who alternate between groomed runs, park sessions, and off-piste runs
- Those who ride regularly and want a responsive board that isn’t too unforgiving
A top choice if you want a single board for all riding conditions.
Avoid this if you’re a complete beginner and are looking for a very forgiving board to learn the basics.

Lightweight
Is the Birds Of A Feather comfortable to ride in switch?
Yes, the True Twin shape ensures perfect symmetry between the front and back: the board handles exactly the same way in both directions. Whether you’re riding in the regular stance or switch, you’ll experience the same ride characteristics.
What’s the difference between the Birds Of A Feather and the D.O.A.?
The Birds Of A Feather is based on the D.O.A.’s shape but has been specifically adapted for female snowboarders: the dimensions and flex patterns have been reworked to meet the needs of female riders. It shares the same board DNA, but in a version designed with them in mind.
Does the Magic Bean resin affect the board’s performance?
Magic Bean resin is a partially bio-sourced soybean-based resin used by Capita to lighten the board without compromising responsiveness. In practical terms, you gain lightness and responsiveness with every push.
