Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Capita Indoor Survival is the freestyle board from the Capita lineup designed for those who spend their days on the park features. Symmetrical shape, flat camber, moderate flex: everything is tuned to help you improve without having to fight against your own board. A reliable choice for riders looking to build their freestyle skills season after season.

What is the Capita Indoor Survival snowboard designed for?

The Indoor Survival is built for the park: rails, boxes, kickers, and everything else the snowpark has to offer. The 100% twintip shape means the board is perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail, allowing you to ride switch just as easily as regular, without any compromise. The flat camber (the base lies flat on the snow along its entire length) strikes a balance between stability and maneuverability, with progressive responsiveness that doesn’t catch you off guard on landing. The board is manufactured at The MotherShip™ in Austria, a factory powered entirely by renewable energy.

Who is the Capita Indoor Survival snowboard designed for?

The Indoor Survival is designed for intermediate to advanced riders who want to improve their freestyle park skills.

  • Snowboarders who are starting to link features and want a reliable board on kickers
  • Riders working on their switch riding and rail tricks
  • Riders looking for a board dedicated to the park for the entire season

Best suited if you spend most of your sessions in the snowpark.

Best avoided if you’re mainly targeting powdery off-piste slopes.

What does "flat camber" actually mean on the Indoor Survival?

With a flat camber, the base is in continuous contact with the snow along its entire length, with no gap underfoot. You get a board that’s stable on flat ground, easy to balance on features, and more forgiving of slightly imperfect landings than a classic camber with a raised center.

Is this board suitable for riding switch?

Yes, that’s actually one of its strengths: the perfectly symmetrical twintip shape means the board performs identically in both directions. You can practice your switch tricks and landings without any difference in how the board handles.

Where is the Capita Indoor Survival manufactured?

It’s produced at The MotherShip™, Capita’s factory in Austria, which runs entirely on renewable energy.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
