Description

The Capita Mercury is directional in its flex and its binding inserts are slightly set back, which allows for more control in the curve and also a better exit in powder. It's still symmetrical in the nose and tail and rides well in switch, so you can stay comfortable in freestyle. The Panda Core offers a lot of rebound while remaining light, and is reinforced with carbon and flax for even more pop but also better cushioning. A quality construction that promises great all-mountain sessions.

What is the program of the Capita Mercury snowboard?

The Mercury is a very versatile model. It works very well on piste and hard snow, but also allows you to have fun off-piste in various conditions. It has a medium/stiff flex, offering a good level of pop and stability, while maintaining the ride comfort and playability that allows you to express yourself without limits in freestyle. Capable of passing everywhere with efficiency, easy to ride in switch and flex enough to place tricks without difficulty, it is a real machine for all-mountain or freeride with some tricks.

Who is the Capita Mercury snowboard for?

We recommend this model to intermediate/advanced snowboarders as well as very experienced snowboarders. The most amateur riders will appreciate its stability and secure grip on the slopes, while the most experienced riders will enjoy its explosive temperament to rain down tricks.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
