Product description — Pathfinder
Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.
The Capita Pathfinder is the affordable freestyle board in the Capita lineup: a versatile twintip designed to explore the entire resort without being limited to the park, equally at home on features as it is on the slopes. An ideal choice for riders who want to improve their freestyle skills without sacrificing the freedom to ride anywhere.
What is the Capita Pathfinder snowboard all about?
The Pathfinder is an all-mountain freestyle board: its playground spans the entire resort, from the park to groomed runs, making it a breeze to play on natural terrain and features. Its true twin shape is perfectly symmetrical, meaning the board handles exactly the same way in both regular and switch stances. The rocker profile—that is, a reverse camber where the board is raised in the center—makes it naturally forgiving when initiating turns and easy to pivot. The Pathfinder is manufactured in The MotherShip’s Austrian factories, which run entirely on renewable energy, with an FSC-certified wood core.
Who is the Capita Pathfinder snowboard designed for?
The Pathfinder is designed for intermediate to advanced riders who want to improve their freestyle skills while retaining the freedom to ride the entire mountain.
- Riders who are starting to get serious about rails and kickers
- Riders who want a single board for the entire season, including the park
- Snowboarders looking for a playful board without too much hassle
A top choice if you’re looking for a versatile, freestyle-oriented board to help you improve.
Avoid this if deep powder is your main playground.

Can you ride the Capita Pathfinder switch without any difficulty?
Yes, the true twin shape offers perfect symmetry between the front and back of the board: riding switch feels exactly the same as riding in the regular stance. This is a real advantage for practicing tricks on both sides.
Is the Capita Pathfinder equally suited for rails and kickers?
Jibbing is the Pathfinder’s real strength: its flexibility and rocker make it very maneuverable. On kickers, it delivers solid performance, though it isn’t the absolute benchmark for pulling off big jumps.
What exactly does Magic Bean Resin technology bring to the Pathfinder?
Magic Bean Resin is a bio-based formula developed by Capita, used in the board’s construction to reduce environmental impact without compromising mechanical strength. It’s part of a responsible manufacturing approach consistent with Capita’s entire production in Austria.
