Product description — SB Resort Twin

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Capita SB Resort Twin is part of Capita’s Spring Break line: a board designed to ride anywhere in the resort, without overcomplicating things. It’s aimed at snowboarders who are starting to find their footing and want a forgiving board to help them improve season after season, both on and off-piste. Its programme is all-mountain/freestyle.

What is the Capita SB Resort Twin snowboard designed for?

The SB Resort Twin is an all-mountain board with a all-mountain focus: it follows the rider everywhere, from groomed runs to the edges of the slopes and those first runs in fresh powder. The twintip shape means the board is perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail, allowing you to ride switch just as easily as in the regular stance. The traditional camber with rocker camber combines a central rocker—which makes it easier to initiate turns and provides float in powder—with camber under each foot for power transfer. The SB Resort Twin is manufactured in Austria at Capita’s The MotherShip factory, which is powered 100% by renewable energy.

Who is the Capita SB Resort Twin snowboard designed for?

The SB Resort Twin is designed for beginner to intermediate snowboarders looking for an easy-to-handle board to help them progress without struggling with their board.

  • Beginners learning their first turns who want a forgiving board
  • Intermediate riders exploring the entire resort and prioritizing versatility above all else
  • Snowboarders looking for a fun board for laid-back days

A good choice if you want an accessible and versatile board to ride throughout the entire resort.

Not recommended if you’re looking for a board to land big jumps or specialize in the park.

Can you ride the Capita SB Resort Twin switch?

Yes, the SB Resort Twin is a 100% symmetrical twintip: the nose and tail are identical, allowing you to ride switch under the same conditions as in the normal position.

Does the Capita SB Resort Twin float well in powder?

The central rocker of the traditional camber with rocker profile naturally lifts the tip in deep snow, helping to keep the nose on the surface without straining. It’s not a board designed specifically for powder, but it performs well for occasional off-piste runs.

Is the Capita SB Resort Twin manufactured responsibly?

It’s produced at The MotherShip, Capita’s factory in Austria, which runs entirely on renewable energy.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
