Manufactured in Austria at The MotherShip™ facilities using 100% renewable energy, it’s one of the freestyle staples in the Capita lineup, recognizable by its intricate graphics and a distinctly freestyle-oriented spirit.

What is the Capita Space Metal Fantasy snowboard designed for?

The Space Metal Fantasy is a park board: kickers, rails, boxes, and features are its playground. Its twintip shape—meaning a perfectly symmetrical board with identical nose and tail—allows you to ride both regular and switch with no compromises. The reverse camber—or rocker—means the board pivots easily, absorbs landings without throwing you off, and forgives minor positioning mistakes. When you take off from a kicker, the pop—that is, the energy released as you take off—is strong, allowing you to land tricks with good height.

Is the Capita Space Metal Fantasy really rideable in switch?

Yes, the Space Metal Fantasy’s symmetrical twintip shape is designed specifically for that: the nose and tail are identical, which means the board behaves exactly the same way in both directions. You can work on your switch tricks without having to compensate for anything.

Does the rocker make this board difficult to control on groomed runs?

The reverse camber, or rocker, reduces the board’s contact area with groomed snow, making it lighter to ride but less grippy in high-speed turns. On standard resort runs between park sessions, it handles comfortably; it’s not a board designed for high-speed carving.

Is the Capita Space Metal Fantasy suitable for jibbing on rails and boxes?

Yes, that’s one of its strengths: the soft flex makes the board forgiving, so you can work on your jib tricks.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
