Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Capita The Navigator is the ultimate all-mountain freeride snowboard, designed to maximise enjoyment on every run. Thanks to its directional shape and a combination of camber and rocker, it adapts effortlessly to all snow conditions. Capita delivers here a board that blends agility with versatility—perfect for pushing your limits across any terrain.

What is the Capita The Navigator snowboard made for?

The Navigator model from Capita is a high-performance, ultra-versatile freeride board. Its preferred environment is the backcountry, but it also excels on groomers. Its directional shape optimises float and manoeuvrability: a wide nose with pronounced rocker makes turn initiation easy and ensures optimal float in powder, while setback inserts paired with a tapered tail guarantee agility and natural float in fresh snow. The nose reinforced with cork and carbon significantly improves shock absorption, while its traditional camber provides solid edge hold on hardpack for stability and control.

Who is the Capita The Navigator snowboard aimed at?

The Navigator is aimed at intermediate to advanced riders looking to progress with an all-mountain board oriented towards freeride. It’s perfectly suited for backcountry enthusiasts who want to make the most of untouched snow fields yet still enjoy excellent sensations when returning to marked runs.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
