Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Gnu Antigravity is an all-mountain freeride snowboard with a directional design. It offers exceptional manoeuvrability and great precision, regardless of the terrain.

What is the Gnu Antigravity snowboard made for?

Featuring a directional shape, the Antigravity allows for intuitive riding and easy turns while maintaining full control. Its name reflects its ability to provide a sensation of lightness on the snow, thanks to the slight setback of the bindings. This stance ensures better stability in powder by repositioning the centre of gravity and allowing the nose to stay above deep snow. On groomers, the traditional camber of the Antigravity offers precision and power, and its Magne-Traction edges ensure excellent grip on hard snow. Additionally, its aspen/paulownia wood core is durable and FSC certified, guaranteeing responsible forest management.

Who is the Gnu Antigravity snowboard aimed at?

It is designed for intermediate to advanced snowboarders looking to excel both in carving on groomers and shredding in backcountry powder.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
