Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Gnu Facts snowboard is the well-balanced all-mountain freestyle model in the lineup, designed for switching between groomed runs, natural terrain, and park features. Its laid-back character lets you explore the mountain without turning every run into an intense riding session.

What is the Gnu Facts snowboard designed for?

The Gnu Facts is a versatile board with a freestyle focus: it rides well anywhere on the mountain and performs reliably when you decide to go off-piste to play with the terrain or tackle a feature. The twin-tip shape allows you to ride both forward and switch. The reverse camber enables the board to pivot easily, forgive minor mistakes, and float naturally in powder.

Who is the Gnu Facts snowboard designed for?

The Gnu Facts is designed for intermediate to advanced snowboarders who want an accessible, easy-to-handle board capable of keeping pace with their progress without holding them back.

  • Riders who switch between groomed runs, small natural kickers, and beginner features
  • Snowboarders who want to improve their switch riding thanks to a symmetrical shape
  • Riderslooking for a board that’s stable at high speeds while still being playful

A top choice if you want a forgiving board to mix up your sessions without switching boards.

Avoid this if you’re looking for a board dedicated to landing big jumps or riding in technical park competitions.

Can the Gnu Facts be ridden switch?

Yes, the Gnu Facts is a twintip: its perfectly symmetrical shape makes riding switch just as natural as riding in the standard position. It’s a board designed for that.

What is the core of the Gnu Facts, and why does it matter?

The core combines Aspen and Paulownia, two lightweight and eco-friendly woods that give the board responsiveness without adding weight. The result is a board that feels lively underfoot, with good energy return when you come out of a turn or launch an ollie.

What’s the difference between the Gnu Facts and the Gnu Wagyu?

The Facts relies more on the forgiveness of its full rocker, while the Wagyu features a stiffer, more responsive W Rocker profile reinforced with carbon.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
