The Jones Stratos is a hybrid snowboard that pairs a strongly freeride-oriented shape to a construction and technologies that offer great playfulness. It stands out thanks to its excellent performance and the use of environmentally friendly materials, such as a wood core reinforced by linen and basalt stringers, recycled edges and sidewalls, as well as bio-sourced glue and wax.  

What is the programme of the Jones Stratos snowboard? 

With a dynamic and easy to handle flex, the Jones Stratos offers a friendly ride that allows to link turns with great ease, on every terrain. This is enhanced by the more pronounced rocker on the front, the directional shape and setback foot stance, which promote smooth turn initiations. In addition, it offers excellent natural floatability to enjoy optimal snow conditions, while the traditional camber section and Traction Tech 3.0 edges guarantee good grip on hardpack. Whether it is carving groomers or having fun on powder and slaloming between trees, the Jones Stratos is ready.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
