The K2 Lil Kat is a snowboard designed specifically for young riders. This all-mountain freestyle board is perfect for beginner to intermediate level rippers.

What is the K2 Lil Kat snowboard made for?

The Lil Kat is a lightweight, flexible, and durable snowboard designed for young riders. Its Aspen Core and Biax Fiberglass construction provide a robust yet light board, while its forgiving flex makes riding easier, offering better board manoeuvrability. The flat camber ensures a smooth interaction between the board and the snow, providing an optimal balance between edge control and forgiveness. The rocker zones make the board even friendlier, facilitating navigation on soft snow and on the sides of the slopes. This makes it an excellent option for spring riding when the snow starts to melt. The Lil Kat allows young riders to enjoy the entire season on the slopes and off-piste, offering maximum ease and forgiveness for improving while having fun.

Who is the K2 Lil Kat snowboard aimed at?

The Lil Kat is designed specifically for young girls who are new to snowboarding or who enjoy it recreationally.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
