The K2 Standard snowboard is ideal for beginner riders or snowboarders looking to hone their snowboarding skills. This versatile board is forgiving and will boost your confidence.

What is the K2 Standard snowboard made for?

Its soft flex and flat camber contribute to its forgiveness, while the confidence inspiring grip makes it pleasant to ride on groomed runs. The rocker areas on the tips smoothen turn transitions and make it easier to ride on soft snow and shallow powder. Thanks to the setback foot stance and directional shape, the manoeuvrability is improved, offering better riding control. The perfect board to learn and progress at your pace until you feel confident enough to try jumping and riding faster. Who knows, maybe you’ll be tempted to try freestyle after acquiring the basics and discovering what can be done in the terrain park.

Who is the K2 Standard snowboard aimed at?

The Standard is aimed at beginner to intermediate level snowboarders looking to hone their skills. Its construction and technologies make it easy to ride and forgiving. A great option to improve your riding and explore new terrains.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
