Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Nidecker Escape is a freeride-oriented snowboard because of its directional shape, with a tapered tail and setback foot stance to promote manoeuvrability in powder. As a versatile board, it is not limited only to off-piste riding and remains efficient on the slopes with its classic camber.

What is the program of the Nidecker Escape snowboard?

The Escape features a rather discreet directional shape, as it is slightly narrower at the tail compared to the nose and the inserts are positioned 30 mm back. This gives it an appropriate behaviour in powder, where it will be easy to handle, while remaining versatile. Indeed, you will be able to ride on the slopes with this board, as its classic camber profile will provide all the required grip to carve with precision. Thanks to its wider nose and centre of gravity located further back, the Escape demonstrates good floatability in pow. It also keeps a playful trait because of its flexible tips, they not only facilitate turn initiations but also let you dot a bit of switch riding. The Master Wood Core by Nidecker will let you benefit from its pop and stability so that your riding can be smooth and enjoyable.

Who is the Nidecker Escape snowboard for?

The Nidecker Escape is recommended to advanced level snowboarders who love tracing beautiful turns in powder, off the beaten tracks, while also enjoying doing some freestyle from time to time.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
